Taylor Joy stated that moving from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was a struggle as she was unable to take the time to learn English, hoping to go home to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed to Northlands in order to attend Hill House. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she was a ballet student and performed in school productions. When she was 16 she quit school in order to pursue acting as a career. Taylor-Joy always had a dream to become an actor. When she was 16, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the opportunity to be a model.
